“A Hidden Gem”

It was by pure chance that after having left any booking till the last minute that Romsey Information Centre gave us this B&B contact. Only passing through the area we were lucky enough to be accepted just for the one night. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined what awaited us as we drove through the garden gates. A Tudor brick farmhouse settled amongst a classic English garden. Despite the last minute booking we were still warmly greeted and lead to the Morningside Barn Room. Opening the door was a jaw dropping moment. Seventh Heaven does not do it justice. Luxurious, tasteful but homely all rolled into one. It was and will probably remain the highlight of any B&B experience in our extensive travels. All this matched by the warmth and hospitality of our hosts & their friendly dogs. And who could ignore the wonderful cooked breakafst set amongst such finery, shared with other congenital house guests. We loved it so much that we returned 7 days later. Though next time, beaten to the barn house, we still delighted in the yellow blue farmhouse bedroom. We can not recommend this place and its hosts highly enough. A much treasured experience. Catherine & Michael Seager, Blaxland N.S.W. Australia (2011)

“A Truly Lovely English B & B”

Purely by luck I chose this B&B whilst my husband and I were working close by. We had not intended to stay overnight but how glad we were when greeted by the lady of the house Mrs Hughes. The house is lovely and the rooms all beautiful, tastefully furnished and everything you could hope for. The breakfast certainly lives up to previous reviews. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Mary M, Stayed November 2012, travelled on business - Tripadvisor.

“A Real Find”

Ranvilles is a lovely old farmhouse with great character and a traditional ambience. Mrs Hughes is a charming woman.  My wife and I stayed there for just one night with two friends. Both their room and ours were large, well furnished and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown enough consideration to feel at home without being smothered. Mrs Hughes's recommendation about where to go for supper was spot-on and breakfast the following morning was very good and plentiful ! Prices were about what you would expect for a good class B & B.
